The Full Day Abhinaya workshop series is split into three levels:

• Workshop 1: Introduction to Abhinaya for kids

Age: 7 - 12 years, Time: 9 am - 11 am, Cost: $40 per student

(Prerequsite: only for students who have learnt some basic adavus and mudras such as Asamyutha hasthas in Bharathanatyam).

• Workshop 2: Nuances of Abhinaya for intermediate students

Level: Intermediate students, Time: 11.30 am - 2 pm (half an hour lunch break), Cost $50 per student

(Prerequsite: for students who have completed all adavus, and have learnt at least one expressive item, like keerthanam, kauthuvam, pushpanjali).

• Workshop 3: Advanced techniques of Abhinaya for Senior student

Level: Advanced students, Time: 2.30 - 5 pm, Cost: $60 per student (students at post-arangetram level).

(If students in the advanced level would like to revise their basic abhinaya techniques, they're welcome to do both the 2nd and 3rd workshops together, and will get a discounted price of about $100 for the 4.5 hour combined session at enrolment).

*All prices quoted are excluding GST (there will be an additional 10% GST for these workshops).

Workshop Objective: At the end of these workshops, students will have a deeper understanding of how to use appropriate facial expressions, hand gestures and body movements to emote different rasas (moods) in Bharathanatyam. Students will gain more confidence in expressing emotions and enacting different characters and stories.
